The PRISMA method
Thirty-five years of experience turned into standards, training, independent review, and traceability. It is what makes a PRISMA project perform the same no matter who draws it.
01 · Standards
Experience doesn't stay in anyone's head.
Every lesson from the field, every code change, and every research finding becomes an internal guideline. That way, an engineer who joins today designs with 35 years of judgment.
- 01Design guidelines based on our experience and current codes.
- 02Application examples for the Peruvian code, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and AISC 360.
- 03Modeling and technical review procedures.
- 04Continuous updates based on lessons learned and code changes.
- 05Periodic staff training and evaluation.

Standards evolve with codes, experience, and research, always seeking optimization. Above, the foundation design criteria shifting from gravity loads to seismic loads and soil-structure interaction.
02 · Independent quality
A department that exists only to review.
The quality department doesn't design: it reviews. It is separate from the project team and staffed by senior engineers. Its approval is what turns a drawing into a construction-ready deliverable.
Review process
- 01Assessment of the preliminary structural layout
- 02Approval of the structural layout
- 03Review of the structural models
- 04Review of drawings and documents
- 05Evaluation of potential optimizations
- 06Technical report of review comments
- 07Technical exchange and resolution of comments
- 08Staff qualification
Two deliverables, two levels of confidence
APreliminary deliverable
Issued as soon as design is complete. Reviewed by the project lead. Ready for quantity takeoff, but not recommended for construction.
BApproved delivery
Reviewed and approved by PRISMA's senior quality team. Construction-ready.
03 · Traceability
Every issue, every question, every answer is recorded.
Document control records versions, who prepared, reviewed, and approved each document, and everything that enters and leaves the project.
01Project log
Progress dates, number of drawings, history of issues to the client, and quality department reviews.
02Platforms
Autodesk Construction Cloud, Google Drive, and our own server, with cloud backup.
03RFIs
Log of requests for information and their resolutions during design and construction.
04Ongoing support
Information is kept indefinitely for inquiries after delivery.
04 · Assurance
Guarantees that don't depend on goodwill.
Professional liability insurance
Covers repairs or other costs arising from a proven error in the structural design. It complements, rather than replaces, our responsibility to the client.
100 % licensed software
All analysis, CAD, and BIM software is currently licensed or developed in-house.
Legal and financial backing
A formally established company since 1991, with a verifiable track record in public and private projects.
Value engineering
We compare alternatives and specify devices by performance, not by brand, so the client can purchase freely.
