At PRISMA we are taking a step our clients had been asking for: we have formally established a Construction Supervision Department, dedicated to overseeing the construction of the structural work with the same standard we have applied to design since 1991.

A good structural design only delivers on its promise if it is built as conceived. That is why the new department verifies drawings, specifications and construction processes in the field, and resolves on site the adjustments that arise on every project, coordinating with the designer and the contractor.

What the department does

  • Field verification of structural work items and technical specifications.
  • Immediate solutions to unforeseen issues, with technical backing from the design team and the quality department.
  • Traceability: supervision reports, a log of observations and sign-off of structural work items.
Design does not end on the drawing: it ends when the structure is built as designed.

Experience behind it

The department consolidates our team’s recent experience supervising the structures of projects such as Marina City Center, the new Clínica Internacional tower and several venues of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

It also builds on a practice we already apply in our designs: visiting the site to listen to the field team. That feedback allows us to deliver drawings that are more buildable, clear and efficient.

Who it is for

Real estate developers, contractors and public entities that need to ensure the structural work is executed with quality, on schedule and without surprises, whether the project was designed by PRISMA or by others.
